Dry skin is the bane of my life. If you’ve read any of my other skincare blog posts, you’d know that one of my biggest skin woes is dehydration. No matter how much water I drink or how much moisturiser I use, as some point during the day, it’d look dryer than the Sahara dessert. I’ve been using the moisture balm since last year and it’s yet to fail me. Whenever I feel my skin getting into it’s usual dry state, I use it for a quick boost of hydration.
My skin requires constant change every so often for it to stay in tip-top condition. I really enjoy trying out new products. Sometimes though, trying out new products can be a detriment to it. I’ve only just figured out the perfect balance. In fact, I now go by the less is more route. I use products in rotation rather than taking up new ones. One product that has always work for me is Kiehls Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm. I’ve always responded well to their products.
The thick consistency of the balm works well to penetrate the skin’s barriers to instantly soothe the appearance and feel of dry skin. It’s neither greasy nor heavy on the skin. Without a regular dose of hydration from this moisturiser, my skin would be crying for help. What I like the about this balm is that it’s packed with active ingredients like Elderflower Extracts, Antarticine & Squalane which help skin to retain moisture and lock in hydration.
P.S The Ordinary have an amazing plant-derived squalane which you can apply to skin and hair. So if like me, you’re prone to dry skin, then I’d recommend getting yourself a bottle. It’s a really affordable magic potion that is non-greasy.
